People have been asking me all week how the house-building is going. I think it’s going great, my responses are usually something like – “The basement walls have been poured” or “the gravel for the basement floor has been spread” or “the storm shelter room is finished”. That’s about all the detail I know to give, and all the ladies I’ve explained this to absolutely understand exactly what I’m saying.
But now for all you guys who have all these ‘technical’ questions that I don’t have a clue about, or don’t remember the details of, Daniel-the-Builder has a great post on his blog about the progress in ‘man terms’, along with pictures.

I just went over and read Daniel-the-Builder’s blog. Neat! I love that he was all excited over poured concrete! Josh and I get all excited over building materials and trying new ways to manufacture things (mostly bird housing), too. I’m glad to see other’s share our joy at such things.
We can’t wait to get a tankless water heater. The original plan was to use a solar heated one since we live in the South. Our Realtor said that wasn’t a good idea for resale.
Blessings!

We talked about solar panels too, but ended up deciding not to do it. D-t-B highly recommended the water heater, so I’m really looking forward to that. And to the induction heat cooktop – he has an article further down in his blog about induction heat cooking, I think it’ll be a great investment.
Thanks for visiting. I hope you are feeling better, have a wonderful Thursday!
