We have insulation. The guys finished up this week, which hopefully means sheetrock can start going up.



We used BIBS (see here), an energy efficient alternative to Bats, for a fraction of an increase in price.  Basically, fiberglass is blown into a fiber netting.  The fiberglass doesn’t settle, so there are no voids which result in heat loss.  That’s it in a tiny nutshell of course, there’s much more to it.  We think it was a good choice.  We got a really nice breeze all summer long sitting way up there above the ground, so we suspect that in the winter that nice breeze will become a howling wind.  Hopefully between BIBS and the fireplace we’ll stay warm and cozy.
